Don't buyDec 13, 2010
By Zeeman This is a very crude device that will provide you with more frustation than service. For one thing, the touch screen does not work with your fingers (it is supposed to work, but it practically does not) You have to use a stylus or some other sharp thing and use it to drag the screen up and down. Second, the speakers give out almost no sound. You have to use earphones or you don't hear a thing. Third, practically no apps to download. It does not have a flash player so you cannot stream in audio or video from a web site. Fourth, the minuscule instruction manual is worthless, plus it is written in such broken English that you don't know what they are talking about.
I will be throwing this piece of chinese junk away shortly.

Not the greatest Hi-Tech gadget I have ownedDec 22, 2010
By Gen Yes, I also got my share of SOME (not complete) disappointment with 7" Android Tablet PC. I bought two of them: for myself and for my wife to put under the Christmas tree as small holiday gifts. They arrived much faster than I was expecting and, of course, I could not wait and opened mine to check it out. I may be in a better mood than most of you, guys and girls, because I bought my Androids via web from Chinese manufacturer "Ethernal" directly and paid only $85/each including delivery from Donguang to my doorsteps in New Jersey. They have Android 2.2 system inside, cameras (quite bad ones) apps for reading eBooks, watching videos, Skype, Wi-Fi, 3G, photos, games and many other. I mostly bought them for books and videos. At first I was quite disappointed with their performance: touchscreen is nearly not as responsive as iPOD or iPAD or iPHONE... Yet, after a while I got used to it. I immediately downloaded eReader just to discover that on Android it does not "understand" Russian language (half of my reading material is in Russian). To my surprise, originally installed iReader handled any language encoding quite easily. I use Calibre software on my laptop to convert my books to TXT format and them just send them to the Android and - VOILA!- I can read anything I want. To my surprise, even though many other functions seem to be slow and somewhat half-frozen, Androids native iReader and video player work quite well. Also, it has YOUTUBE pre-installed and while Google and other web sites load slowly via Wi-Fi, YouTUBE's videos play surprisingly fast and smooth. So, basically, what I wanted from it so far works OK. Still, this device in general is a "half-baked cookie", so I give it maximum 3 stars. I thought that I may stop using my iPOD Touch after Android comes... No, not a chance.

Dont buyNov 21, 2010
By Mike Do not waste your time or money on this product. After mine quit working I sent it back in to get a refund.
Mind you I only used this thing for about a week. Well they refused to refund my money and wanted to send it to factory for repair. I told them to keep it. Do not buy from Extreme Gadgets, RIP OFFS

What's the Problem ?Nov 28, 2010

I don't know where you guys got yours from but I got mine on e bay and I have had it a month and no problems. The range on the wifi is not great, but, as long as your within a respectable range you're fine. This has the Google Android OS on it. It's not like a Mac or PC. There is a learning curve. I mainly got it for movies and ebooks.
Which it does just fine.
You should play with it ONLY after reading the Instructions then read them again. The first charge has to be 10 hours, the second as well, then all others 5 hours.
If you try to download from it, such as an app, you have problems, you should download all apps from your home or work PC or Mac. Then put them on a MicroSD card and run the app installation from the MicroSD card. This will avoid any problems installing the app.
This a cool product but, I got the dual core one and I just Love it !!
